Contains information pertaining to the following military units and organizations: 36th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment; 52nd Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment. General description of the collection: The Huldah Harrison papers include five letters received by Miss Harrison of Fairmount Springs, Pennsylvania, during and after the Civil War. One letter from her cousin, Private Nathan Harrison of the 36th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment (September 27th, 1861) describes camp life. Two more from her brother, Sergeant Daniel Harrison, of the 52nd Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment (June 21 and September 19, 1862) outline his service on the Peninsula. Another one from Daniel (June 3, 1866) recounts social and economic conditions in his new homes in Danville and Vermillion County, Illinois. The final one from her friend Lott Rhone (December 16, 1864) describes social conditions around Benton, Pennsylvania.
